Three Scenes (Solo 4-Mallet Marimba)

The first movement, Aria, is one of the most challenging rolled pieces you will encounter, musically and technically. The second movement, Interlude, is transition material from the first movement to the third with figures that fly up and down the instrument. The final movement, Dance, opens with a complicated ostinato in the left hand and the melody in the right hand. There is a brief hint of the first movement, then drives to the virtuosic ending.
