Classic Suite for Marimba

Classic Suite consists of three contrasting movements arranged fast-slow-fast (Song, Hymn, and Fantasy). Each of the three movements can stand alone or can be played all together as a suite. Accessible to any audience, the piece employs special techniques, such as independent rolls, glissandi, and playing with the shafts of the mallets.

The first two movements use standard meters (4/4, 3/4, etc.) while the third movement is set primarily in 7/8 and 6/8. Accessible to any audience, the piece employs special techniques, such as independent rolls, glissandi, and playing with the shafts of the mallets.
