Program Notes
Looking Glass draws its title from Looking Glass Falls in Brevard, North Carolina. The work depicts an experience one might have hiking to a powerful waterfall. Upstream the water is tranquil with slight hints of the active fall to come. At the base of the falls the tranquility transforms into bursts of sporadic energy before settling downstream.
