A musical depiction of nature at its most beautiful, The Echo of God's Laughter paints the picture of a sunset over the ocean's tide – at times peaceful & sparkling, at others dramatically violent. Lampl's brilliant scoring is a treat for the ears that evokes a range of emotional responses.

Program Notes
In composing The Echo of God’s Laughter, my intention was to create a piece of music which could be experienced like the natural visual phenomena of a sunset or the ocean’s tide, but through the world of sound. Echo’s glacial pace is a sound world meditation rather than a thematic development of musical motives. The structure of the work is a mensuration canon, not unlike that of the contrapuntal masters of the 15th century. A canonic theme which resolves at ever expanding rhythmic values throughout the ensemble results in beautiful, ethereal harmonies which come as byproducts of the perpetually evolving musical layers. My ultimate goal is for you, my committed listener, to experience the profound and wondrous journey to your own spiritual kingdom through The Echo of God’s Laughter.
