Program Notes
In the Spring of 2012, I revisited Rome. While seated in the park near the Via Veneto, I suffered an attack of nostalgia at which time I found myself remembering my years as a jazz pianist/film composer in the Eternal City (1964-1966). It seemed fitting that I should write a piece that might speak of those golden years when La Dolce Vita was, for me, alive and real. Roman Spring is that piece.
