This touching piece pays tribute to the unconditional love only a mother can give her child. It was inspired by the composer’s mom, whose passion for the piano and music of Beethoven she gratefully passed on to him, so he incorporated an 8 measure variation from Beethoven’s Sonata #27, Op. 90.
