Against the Tide is a high seas adventure for strings! Imagine yourselves on a raging ocean leading your fleet of ships into battle, pursuing your enemies in epic fashion! The piece incorporates many different bowing styles, articulations, arco/pizzicato playing and fun interlocking parts. It also gives a comfortable opportunity to introduce playing in minor keys as well (E minor in this case). Everyone gets a chance at the melody as well to help expose your lower string sections to melodic playing.
