Program Notes
Stardust is a piece for solo marimba written for Evan Leffert, percussionist and composer. Among the musical sources of inspiration for this piece were compositions for marimba by Michael Burritt, Yasuo Sueyoshi, and Eric Sammut. The title of the piece came from stargazing during a clear winter evening in a local park. The piece was premiered by Evan Leffert on February 21, 2019.
