Scavenger Music (Perc Ens 5)

Everything but the kitchen sink? This piece requires the players to do some of their own “scavenging” to find and create all of the instruments necessary to perform it. Fairly simple rhythms throughout (limited to quarter notes and eighth notes) make this a perfect novelty piece for a high school percussion ensemble or young college ensemble.

Percussion 3 (large cardboard box, large can, large steel pipe, bread pan, larger wood length)
Percussion 4 (wrench chimes, hole cut saw blade, suspended wrench, wood lengths, melodic wrenches)
Percussion 5 (plastic trash can, junk chimes, junk gong, flower pot, wood chime)
