Reflections - Angela Kepley [DIGITAL]

Reflections utilizes the low end of a 5-octave marimba and opens with a calm motif that develops throughout the piece. The composition ebbs and flows and includes a few moments of intensity before returning to the calm and contemplative.

Program Notes
Nearly all of my compositions in my early years of writing were for students and specific pedagogical goals. This piece was the first piece I wrote for myself to express my experiences from some prior personal events. Whether you simply enjoy the sounds of the beautiful low end of the marimba or have something to share through your interpretation of the piece, I hope you are able to express your own reflections.
