One and Done" is written to introduce playing with the first finger while bowing. All notes in the piece are either open strings or a whole step away. The limited harmony, call-and-response writing, and unison lines allows for the piece to be quickly taught across the whole ensemble. All players have the opportunity to play the melody as well.
