One and Done is a great way to introduce the youngest of players to bowing the open strings and first finger notes outside of the method book in a concert-worthy selection. Featuring limited harmony, call-and-response writing, and several instance of unison playing, "One and Done" lends itself to whole group instruction. One note value. One finger. One lift. One...and done.

Program Notes
One and Done" is written to introduce playing with the first finger while bowing. All notes in the piece are either open strings or a whole step away. The limited harmony, call-and-response writing, and unison lines allows for the piece to be quickly taught across the whole ensemble. All players have the opportunity to play the melody as well. One and Done features one note value (quarter), one finger (first), and one lift.
