Marche Militaire is a wonderful little concert march. This Schubert classic is well-known and was originally composed for piano duet. Originally in D major, Stuart Johnson's score is in Bb and straightforward for all instruments.

Program Notes
This Marche Militaire (originally in D major) is one of a group of three marches written for piano duet and published in 1826 as Opus 51. This was only two years before Schubert died and he was writing a substantial number of popular works in sellable editions to earn money
However, this particular march has become the most popular of the three and has been arranged for many different combinations. Stuart Johnson's score is in Bb and straightforward for all instruments
