Linnearis is a two-mallet solo marimba piece based on linear harmony. Fed by a constant driving motion, the piece includes long phrasings, fast arpeggios, and sudden unusual micro-modulations. A good option for closing a solo recital, for it combines lightness, drive, speed, and control.

Program Notes
Linnearis (i.e., created by lines) is a marimba piece based on the musical concept of linear harmony. Split into two interrelated movements, Linnearis I and II display a sense of lightness and grace mixed with tenancy and a strong harmonic control. The piece departures from a horizontal point of view, where long phrases, fast arpeggios and sudden unusual micro-modulations are fed by a constant driving motion.
