This masterful arrangement of Gustav Holst's Jupiter: The Bringer of Jollity from 'The Planets' bring the "full orchestra" experience to the percussion ensemble! The work is presented in its entirety with all of Holst's notes present, which means players interact with the music just as string, brass, and woodwind players do.

    Program Notes
My intention with this arrangement is to bring the "full orchestra" experience to the percussion ensemble. The movement is presented in its entirety, with essentially all of Holst's notes present (plus a few extras in the timpani), which means players interact with the music just as strings, brass, and woodwind players do.

As such, doubling/tripling the marimba and vibraphone parts is encouraged if possible. The marimba parts are split to allow instrument sharing. Doubling also allows for divisi playing if desired. Feel free to add or subtract rolls based on your ensemble and performance venue. While the two timpani parts are preferred, an additional single-player combined timpani part is available.
