Program Notes
Groovae is a satirical Reggae piece that features two different variations of Reggae: the upbeat Soca and the mellow One Drop, both of which set the overall theme of the piece. This piece can be performed as a duo, a trio, or as a quartet. Feel free to add your own kind of touch to this piece, as there is a lot of artistic freedom that can be put into it! The bass marimba part can be used interchangeably with a bass guitar, and the percussion part can be played with either one or multiple instruments.
