Program Notes
Giddyup! is a fast yet light gallop that features many sections of the band. Having grown up in a military-style high school band program, the composer’s inspiration for this lively march was a no-brainer. Saddle up!

Giddyup! was written for the Bowie Middle School Band (Irving, Texas), Mr. Clint Schaefer, Director.

Giddyup! was premiered in 2022 by the J.J. Pearce High School Symphonic Band (Richardson, Texas), under the direction of Mrs. Katie Harrison.
