Dusk (Solo 4-Mallet Marimba)

Dusk is a three-movement work for solo marimba depicting that darkening time of the day. The first movement, Shadows, is meant to be very expressive and ethereal, making use of all the timbres available on the marimba. The second movement, Night Song, is meant to reflect how beautiful things at night can be through a single-line, lyrical melody. The third and final movement, Break, depicts all of the chaos created by the darkness of night.
