With Wings Like Eagles is a ceremonial march that offers an alternative to the traditional processional for graduation or other ceremonial occasion. The writing is scored to allow for breaks from playing, especially in the brass. The structure of the march allows for numerous possible repeats or cuts as needed for a particular event.

“They shall mount up with wings like eagles - they shall run and not be weary - they shall walk and not faint.”
- Isaiah 40:31
With Wings Like Eagles is a ceremonial march commissioned for the 2015 centennial of Tennessee Technological University. For generations Tech students have taken pride in the university’s symbol of the Golden Eagle. The music is inspired by the beauty, strength, and dignity associated with the eagle and the university.
The march is in the British tradition, starting with a series of stately melodies interspersed with flourishes in the woodwinds. The trio presents a processional theme, slower in tempo and noble in character. The final section of the march reprises the earlier themes with full instrumentation.
