Where The Minor Things Are is a great challenge for an intermediate percussion ensemble. The first part features a 3:4 polyrhythmic groove and opportunities to highlight many members of the ensemble. The second part is more melodic, building to a climax before transitioning to a third part with a simpler groove and more laid-back melody. The piece ends with a mallet-led finale that builds to a bombastic conclusion. The flexible instrumentation and accessible rhythms and melody will engage the audience and performers alike!
