Were the Whole Realm... - Allen Houston [DIGITAL]

Based on the hymn "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross," this work for 13 percussionists and piano opens very mysteriously, but quickly moves into a section of driving 16ths. The hymn tune is very subtle throughout until a brief choral interlude in the middle of the piece.
