Until We Meet Again reminds the listener that losing someone or something is a part of life. It’s inevitable to find ourselves in a low place due to missing a time of happiness and joy. However, the memories we make can help us relive these times and maybe even return to the person or place we miss to feel joyful once more.

Program Notes
As humans, want to believe that everything is forever: Friends, family, love. Losing any of these things can leave us feeling lost or down. Trying to work through a time like this can be disheartening, but there is always hope. There is hope in reliving those wonderful times through memories, story-telling, or returning to the place or person we miss. When we finally meet again, it’s hard not to feel overwhelmed with happiness and joy. This piece is for those who may be going through a time like this. Always remember that the feeling of joy is just a memory away. Until We Meet Again was commissioned by Director Felix Hernandez to be used as a sight-reading piece for his program at Taft ISD in the Spring 2018 semester.
