Toccata Espressiva [DIGITAL]

Toccata Espressiva is a concert work for organ. The forceful opening is for pedals only and is marked "quasi recitativo." Then, without preparation, the toccata theme (played only on the manuals) appears. It develops and evolves into an espressivo middle section which grows to a great emotional climax and then subsides gently. The toccata theme reappears (this time the pedals are included) and the work ends in a powerful climax.
