Surface Sounds refer to the noises detectable on the surface of a planet or celestial body, influenced by factors like temperature and the medium through which sound waves travel, such as water or air. These waves can refract, allowing them to travel long distances. In this piece, surface sounds also encompass the noises made by the player striking their instrument. Utilizing only battery instruments, this composition aims to capture the frenetic sounds of civilization, the echoed sound waves bending through space, and the sporadic sounds reminiscent of distant planetary winds.
