A fantastic feature for your outstanding oboe player or guest artist to perform with a developing ensemble, Soliloquy & Dance features slow melodious sections contrast to faster ornamental passages. There is even an extended cadenza for the soloist.

    1. Wonderful oboe solo with band

This is a delightful piece of music. Begins with a wonderful lyric section which contrasts nicely with the second half, with its quick paced frolicking melody for the oboe. Nice accompaniment that gives all the band members something to play. The brass section has its own identity, and never overpowers the oboe. Solo part is written mostly on the treble staff, so is not too difficult for the oboist. Can't wait to play this with my local band. DMA oboist. on Aug 16th 2021

    2. NICE

Good music (exept cadenza ... too academic for me) on May 25th 2016
