Dark, sparkly, energetic, and icy, Snowburst is a single-movement adventure for percussion quintet. Asymmetrical rhythms drive the evolution of this fast chamber piece, culminating in an explosion of energy.

Program Notes
Snowburst is one of several works I wrote for my private percussion students at Yukon High School to perform their senior year. I had four students that had studied with me throughout their time in high school, and I wanted to give them a special parting gift as a thank-you for the time we had spent together making music. This one is for Caleb, Bailee, Gloria, and Merriah; thank you for being such wonderful people to work with!
