Program Notes
Shower Music is a flute trio in three movements, written in 2018 during my residency at Foundation Obras (Herdade da Marmeleira, Portugal). Thanks to the serene atmosphere of rural Alentejo (and the lack of distractions), the trio was rapidly composed. Published in the same year on IMSLP. I called it Shower Music after the spontaneous, feel-good singing when taking a shower: the theme of the first movement came up that way. It features three movements, in classical fast-slow-fast tempi, for a running time of about 5 minutes.

This arrangement for 10 winds was composed in the spring of 2020 after the inspiration of watching a friend, De Davis, perform all three flute parts, virtually. I quickly became a fan of the work and decided to arrange it for 10 winds.
