Program Notes
The term second wind means “a renewed energy after feeling fatigued.” In the summer of 2021, after enduring over a year of post graduation life during the COVID-19 pandemic, I was definitely feeling fatigued. I felt like I was losing my love for music. And then this piece happened.

Written for eight players, Second Wind is a dynamic musical journey of ups and downs, ending in a whirlwind of rhythmic energy reflecting the renewed passion for music I found during the writing process.
