Rim of the City (String Orchestra Gr. 3)

Rim of the City is an exciting driving work for string orchestra inspired by an overlook of vast hills in western Wisconsin called Rim of the City. The forward momentum in the eight notes depicts the climb upward on a beautiful day, moving fast to get to the top. Then the slower lyrical section causes some reflection before the fast-paced theme returns.
