On Ya Bike! (Jazz Ens Gr. 2)

On Ya Bike! is a really fun chart for young jazz ensemble in the ever popular style of a boogaloo. The bass and piano set the mood before a good-humored melody is featured in the trumpets and alto saxophones. Not to be outdone, however, the trombones and lower saxophones also have their star moments before there is then an opportunity for improvised solos for trumpet and/or alto saxophone. The energy of this chart never lets up, which means every member of the band has to get "On Ya Bike" and ride right on through to the final punchy hits at the end of the tune!
