Program Notes
Of Glory and Celebration is dedicated to Mr. Hirofumi Matsumoto in honor of his long educational career. He was my former teacher in my high school days. He has been serving as a teacher of history and also a band director; All band directors are not necessarily music teachers in Japan. In my high school days, he gave me many chances to conduct our own band and make my music "live" performance. The experience I gained there really helped me greatly in my current job. This concert march was written in 2020. It was the 15th anniversary of my career as a composer. I dedicated this piece to him with great gratitude.
