Midwinter (Gustav Holst)

The beautiful carol In the Bleak Midwinter is the subject of Richard Phillips' Midwinter. One might not expect to find Gustav Holst's haunting melody for this carol arranged in this style, but Richard has managed to capture the essential simplicity of the tune while giving it a fresh, gently rhythmic treatment that works remarkably well.
