Lone Wolf was composed for the 2024 Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute percussionists and the title was inspired by the city of Lone Wolf, where OSAI is held. The piece brings together the shimmering metallic instruments and grounding rhythmic passages on the drums, to evoke the strength, resilience, and solitary spirit of the wolf in nature.
