A setting of the traditional Chinese Folk Song Liuyang River. Although some liberties have been taken, special effort was made to preserve the original spirit and beauty of this work in its new setting.

This piece was commissioned by marimba soloist Brenton Dunnington on the occasion of his marriage as a gift to his wife. It is a setting of the traditional Chinese Folk Song Liuyang River. Although some liberties have been taken, special effort was made to preserve the original spirit and beauty of this work in its new setting.
