Jump to It is an up-tempo swing chart in the style of the great dance bands of 1940’s. It features a catchy melody and riff-based patterns typical of the style. The saxophone section carries the main melody before being joined by the brass with punchy hits to spice it up, a common device of the swing era. Listen out for the short solo moments for trumpet, alto sax and trombone intertwined with the rest of the band as they launch into exuberant shout phrases as one. The original melody returns to conclude the chart.
