The distinctive, unique nature of Israeli folk music is evident in this tryptich setting of “Hanukah Song”, “Hatikvah”, and “Havah Nagilah”. While technically and musically demanding, this fiery work for concert band will make a stunning impact on audiences. The contrasting middle section, with its warm and lush setting, is a perfect balance to the outer portions. The dramatic finale drives to a vibrant and powerful close with all sections contributing to an almost violent conclusion.
