Program Notes
In-Transit is written for solo vibraphone with digital accompaniment. The work begins with a bass ostinato followed soon after with the entrance of the vibraphone. In-Transit depicts various scenes of movement from one destination to another. The mode of travel is left up to the imagination of the listener and performer. Certain sections of the music may provoke the idea of walking while others sections paint a picture of travel by car or bus. In-Transit was composed to imitate the act of traveling through time.
