The music gently reflects on those we hold dear — both those present in our lives and those we remember with fondness. Written with accessibility in mind, it provides a meaningful challenge for developing high school bands while also being within reach of accomplished middle school ensembles. In addition, this is a wonderful festival piece for clinics, honor band events and festivals as most, if not all percussionists can be utilized. At its core, the meaning behind the piece is a call to action: to love selflessly and show kindness to others.
