The compositions pay tribute to esteemed percussion composers and educators such as Jay Wanamaker, Anthony Cirone, Jacques Delecluse, Michael Colgrass, and Warren Benson. Additionally, the pieces incorporate motives or rhythmic material from classical and Broadway music.
