TOHRU KANAYAMA is a Japanese composer, arranger, and woodwinds player. He attended Musashino Academia Musicae, where he studied woodwind performance and composition. He mainly writes pop music scores for wind band, jazz band, salsa band, musicals, and film.
Tohru started his career as a composer/arranger began wind band arrangements for publication. At the same time, he has toured various Japanese singers as a woodwind, keyboard, and percussion player. He has often performed in musical orchestras, "West Side Story," "Guys and Dolls," "Crazy for You," "Evita," "The Lion King," "The Producers," "Miss Saigon," and more. His composed and arranged works are published in Japan, Taiwan, the Netherlands, and the US. He currently directs the Koedo Wind Ensemble in Japan.
