Composer Spotlight: C.L. THOMAS

We are thrilled to welcome composer C.L. Thomas to the C. Alan Publications catalog this year! He is a Maryland-based composer and conductor whose music has garnered national attention through commissions from the Minnesota Consortium for Black American Composers and performances across the United States. His music is characterized by vivid soundscapes that explore themes of emotional trauma, nature, and the human condition.

Two of his newest offerings are Wicomico Portraits (wind ensemble), which takes a nostalgic look back at his childhood on the shores of the Potomac River in southern Maryland, and his moving setting of the spiritual Deep River for string orchestra.
