Percussive Notes New Literature Review
This excellent piece is well composed, has a memorable melody, and offers soloing opportunities. The orchestration is especially excellent, allowing the sound to be filled out while not feeling bombastic. It is also an excellent opportunity to work with your engine room on slower grooves that require finesse and touch. Overall, this is a fantastic short piece that every steel band from intermediate to professional should have in its repertoire.
