Between the Hills was written for The Gap Cluster Intermediate Band Camp. The Gap is a leafy valley full of lush bushland, natural beauty and a rich diversity of wildlife in Brisbane's west, nestled between Mt Coot-tha and Enoggera Hill. This work represents the joy and happiness of making music with other people in this musical culture, the idyllic lifestyle in this part of the world and as a gift to friends who live, work and go to school there.
