A Basque Noel is a medley of three medieval carols from what is now southern France and known still as the Basque region, surrounding the French Pyrenees, near the Spanish border. The carols are Noel Nouvelet (Sing We Now of Christmas), The Angel Gabriel and Masters of This House.

Program Notes
A Basque Noel is a medley of three medieval carols from what is now southern France and known still as the Basque region, surrounding the French Pyrenees, near the Spanish border. The carols are Noel Nouvelet (Sing We Now of Christmas), The Angel Gabriel and Masters of This House.

The medley was created for the Tower Brass Quintet, based in Toledo, Ohio. The group has performed this piece around North America on Christmas tours and has included it on two of their CDs.
