Program Notes
Atmos is my first true “mallet quartet” where there are no drum instruments involved. As I was working on the thematic material for this piece, I kept envisioning images of constellations and galaxies, so I named the piece “Atmos”, which is described as the gaseous envelope surrounding a celestial body. "Atmos" is sure to be a hit with players and audiences in any concert setting.
