Americana! was commissioned for the 150th Anniversary of the Arkansas City Community Band in Arkansas City, Kansas, Chris VanGilder, director. Community bands across America celebrate life-long learning, service to the community, and a “family” atmosphere of generations making music together. This piece captures the spirit of outdoor concerts, festivities, and fun!
