  • Notes & Instrumentation

This set of short pieces begins in a contemporary (although tonal) harmonic language and gradually carries the listener “back in time” to a more romantic tonality. The five “photographs” hint at a possible story connecting the different images, but these connections are intentionally ambiguous. During the postlude, the harmony gradually shifts back to a contemporary style to finish the composition as it began.
