Airs for Solo Timpani

This 2-movement work was written for Goto's wife, Akiko. The first air features a rhapsodic opening alternating between mallets and hands, followed by a dance-like 6/8. The second air expands on the dance-like nature of the first and even has a nod to Beethoven's 9th Symphony.
