Ain’t Got No Penguin Blues is a fun jazzy introduction to the blues form for grade 2 string orchestra. It was inspired by the book “Mr. Popper's Penguins” and that disappointing feeling when one realizes that having a pet penguin isn’t very realistic, so time to play the blues! Each section plays the melody and there are opportunities for students to try improvisation and swinging eighth notes.
